Lafayette High School 50th Class Reunion

Friday night and last night were the celebrations of my 50th high school class reunion.  What a fun time!  It was great to see all my friends from a most memorable time in my life.  Some I had seen at the previous reunions and others, well, it had been 50 years since we walked down the aisle to receive our diplomas.  Time has flown by but the fun memories remain as vivid as if they were yesterday.

Many thanks to Gary Mann and everyone else who help make this a night we will all remember fondly.  We had a large number of attendees with only a few unable to attend.  That says a lot for a large class of 200+ graduates.  We have also lost some of our classmates and they are sadly missed but their memory is still alive in all of us who, as teenagers, had much fun with them in school.

I am looking forward the number 55 reunion so I can see all my friends again.  To those of you who attended, thank you for sharing the evening.  It certainly will remain one of the most memorable nights for me.  For those of you who could not attend, I hope you will be able to attend number 55.  There is nothing like old friends from our youth.

As I read the comments in "The Oak" from 50 years ago it brought back memories of a time when we were all carefree and just enjoying our youth.  1961 thru 1964 certainly was a time of change and growing up for all of us but we made it!  Earl and I are going to celebrate 49 years of marriage in 3 months and when I read the updates on everyone I saw that we have MANY from our class that are celebrating from 38 to 50 years together.  WOW that says a lot for all of us!  Happy Anniversary to all of you and I hope you celebrate many more with your high school sweetheart!

Go Irish!  See you in 5 years!

Realize I had not published the completed Einstein painting.  He is truly my favorite.
